Ontario Government has introduced new changes to the Condominium Act

• CAT will not have a direct impact on eviction proceedings, as those issures are governed by the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB)
• Applications for these types of condominium related disputes can be found on https://www.condoauthorityontario.ca/dispute-resolution/
• There is a cost for resolution services
• relates to an expansion of the jurisdiction of the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT)as of Jan. 1, 2022 was granted the authority to handle disputes involving nuisances, annoyances & disruptionsincludes “unreasonable” instances of the following:

1. Odour
2. Smoke
3. Vapour
4. Light
5. Vibration
